We are announcing a first meeting Israeli-Polish meeting on astrophysics to be held in Tel-Aviv on January 7-8. The meeting is organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Israel, The University of Warsaw, by the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and by the I-Core: from the Big Bang to Planets. The main scope of the meeting is the get together the two astrophysical communities
increase the scientific exchanges between the two countries
discuss possible joint projects
discuss the role of the Embassy in fostering the scientific cooperation
The meeting will be held at the premises of Israel-Europe R&D Directorate (www.iserd.org.il) in Tel Aviv (Industry House, 29 Hammered St.).
The participation is limited to 45 attendees. There is no registration fee but the participants, except the speakers, should register by sending an email to Tali Mishali <tali.m at huji.ac.il>

The format of the meeting will consist of scientific talks with ample time for discussion. A reception will be hosted by the Embassy of Poland, and we are planning joint trip to Jerusalem for the participants.
