STRESZCZENIE
During my talk I will outline the problem of selection effects in photometric studies of asteroid spins and shapes. Such effects have pronounced consequences on Solar System formation and evolution studies. The project designed to counteract these effects will be described together with its first results, both expected and unexpected.
O PRELEGENCIE
I received my PhD in astronomy from Adam Mickiewicz University of PoznaƱ. My research interests are focused on photometric studies of asteroids, aimed to determine their spin states and reconstruct their shapes. I'm especially interested in observing biases influencing our knowledge on physical parameters of asteroids. Recently I'm also involved in EU funded project to merge various types of data obtained with a range of various techniques (photometry, thermal IR from ground and space, radar ranging, adaptive optics imaging, and stellar occultations) to obtain full and detailed picture of selected small bodies in the Solar System.
