For the first time "Awantura" appeared in 1990 on the initiative of Polish Comics Studio. Four issues appeared - one in 1990 and three in 1991. The magazine was published and founded by the businessmen from Chelmno. It presented only Polish young authors' works (with the exception of Jerzy Wroblewski), sometimes published articles, organised competitions for debutantes, etc.
The editor-in-chief Andrzej Janicki remembered that he had never had any influence for what he published. There was no professional background, resources for main things, editors had to supervise the process of the printing. "Awantura" finished it's existence because the profit was to small for investors.
