Grzegorz Rosinski was born on 3 August 1941 in Stalowa Wola. He graduated from the High School and Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (in 1966). He started his drawing in "Korespondent Wszedobylski" and adventures of "Kapitan Zbik". In 1976 he started to work as an art director of "Relax"; he also co-operated with "Alfa". Rosinski drew "Historia Polski" and "Pilot smiglowca" books. In the 70's his Belgian adventure has started and lasts till today, marked with success, awards and honourable mentions. Together with Jean Van Hamme they created "Thorgal" - the comic which is very popular in Europe.
He drew also "Hans", "La Complainte des landes perdues", "La Croisiere Fantastique" and "Chninkel". When there was martial law in Poland he left the country permanently. He is now regarded as the leading artist of comic in Europe. He lectures the art of comic on the University of Sion. He lives in Switzerland with his wife Kazimiera and three children: Piotr, Zosia and Basia.
